  1. Who is Retensa?

  3. What kind of services does the grant provide?

    Winners of the service grant will be able to apply their grant to any Retensa service(s). For your convenience, some of the most common services are outlined on this website and include Exit Interviews, Employee Surveys, Metrics Dashboard, and Seminars and Training.   4. How many years has Retensa been offering this grant?

    Retensa has provided pro-bono services to non-profit organizations since its inception. In recognition of the urgency and need for the success of green companies in improving our living standards, we have been offering our annual green grant award since 2010 to do our part to support the environmental movement.

  5. How is the program funded?

    Retensa completely self-funds this grant. No sponsors or subsidies have been received by any third-party.

  6. How many service grants are you providing?

    Retensa will award three service grants in total, with the reward amounts being determined by the size categories of the three winners. All finalists will receive a free consultation to determine their needs and how to best utilize our services.

  7. How many applications can a company submit?

    Applicants are only allowed to submit one application per free-standing organization.

  8. What are the tax implications for this grant?

    Recipients of the Retensa Green Grant are solely responsible for any tax implications.

  9. If my company does not use the entire grant, will we receive the balance in a cash pay-out?

    The winning companies will receive a free consultation with a Retensa expert who will work with the company to assess their needs and to maximize the benefit of the service grant awarded. The grant can only be utilized for Retensa services. No cash will be awarded.

  10. What is the application process?

    The first step is to fill out the preliminary application by April 30, 2012. This application will determine if you meet our basic green criteria. Qualified applicants will then fill out a more in-depth proposal, which is due May 14, 2012. Final winners will be selected in July 2012.

  11. How long will it take me to fill out this application?

    The initial application should take you about 4 to 6 minutes to complete. The final proposal should take between 60 to 90 minutes to complete.

  12. When is the deadline for the application?

    The preliminary application is is due April 30, 2012 and the final proposal will be due by May 14, 2012.

  13. I just missed the deadline. Can I still send an application?

    We encourage you to email or call Retensa and express your interest in our service-grant. Retensa will be offering another grant in the future. We would be happy to add you to our contact list to notify you of future offerings.

  14. When will the award be granted?

    Finalists will be announced in June 2012 and final winners will be announced in July 2012. Grants must be redeemed within one year of the award date.

  15. How soon can I receive services from the grant?

    Once the winners are announced, Retensa will schedule time for a consultation to support your company in benefiting from our services.

  17. I do not fall under any of the three categories of green but I think I can qualify for green (who do I contact, can I still apply)?

    We are happy to assist you in determining whether or not you qualify for the grant. Simply complete the brief pre-application and someone will contact you to follow-up.

  18. I am a green department/arm of a larger company that is not green, can I still apply?

    We applaud your company's decision to create a green initiative within your company. This service grant is dedicated to predominantly green focused companies earning 51% of total revenue from green energy, products, or services.   19. What are the criteria for the decisions?

    All Applications will be selected based on the criteria indicated here.

  20. How is Retensa green?

    Retensa and its employees are dedicated to helping the environment. As a consulting service company, Retensa does not use a significant amount of resources in conducting its work. Through the use of technology we strive to minimize our use of paper and travel. In all Retensa offices paper, plastic, metal and glass is recycled when available. We purchase recycled supplies and materials. Our computer hardware is Energy Star compliant with timers to shut down when idle. Several of its employees own hybrid vehicles and most take public transportation or walk to work. Most importantly, Retensa helps its green clients operate more efficiently by helping them identify, attract, engage, and retain the top employees in their industry.
